A new edition of The Best Chef Awards has just taken place in Dubai, and as always, seeing so many good friends enjoy their well-deserved recognition has brought a big smile to our faces.

At Josper, we feel deeply proud and honored to be privileged witnesses, from the front line of their kitchens, of the professional and personal journey of many of these wonderful professionals of one, two, and three knives. We are excited to add our little spark of embers to their dishes.

This eighth edition has been the most democratic to date, with a total of 568 votes (almost double than the previous edition) from 63 different countries. It has also introduced, in a historic change, a new recognition system designed to offer a more complete and inclusive vision of culinary excellence, based on three levels of knives. This new system, in addition to the podium for the Top 3 Chefs and the special awards, honors chefs based on their impact and skill in three categories, recognizing a total of 550 culinary professionals across 6 continents:

  • One Knife (EXCELLENT). Recognizes 276 chefs who reached 20% or more, highlighting their notable contributions to the field.
  • Two Knives (WORLD CLASS). Recognizes 177 chefs who reached 40% or more, representing world-class expertise.
  • Three Knives (THE BEST). Celebrates the highest level of culinary mastery, awarded to 97 chefs who achieved 80% or more of the maximum points.
