{"id":4337,"date":"2019-05-17T15:39:03","date_gmt":"2019-05-17T15:39:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jospergrill.com\/?p=4337"},"modified":"2021-02-02T13:23:08","modified_gmt":"2021-02-02T13:23:08","slug":"guinness-record-for-grilled-artichokes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jospergrill.com\/fr\/guinness-record-for-grilled-artichokes\/","title":{"rendered":"Guinness Record for grilled artichokes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 17 March, Pineda de Mar was the star of an epic challenge, organised by the restaurant <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.purabrasa.com\/en\/pura-brasa\/\">PURA BRASA<\/a><\/strong> and the oven brand <strong>Josper<\/strong>, to beat <a href=\"http:\/\/www.recordguinnessdealcachofasalabrasa.com\/en\/\">the Guinness World Record for the most artichokes cooked on a grill at once<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After applying to\nGuinness World Records and meeting all the organisation\u2019s requirements for\nreceiving the honour, PURA BRASA and Josper obtained the license to be the\nfirst to accomplish this achievement. Until now, no one has dared to do\nanything like this: 1,150 kg of artichokes grilled in just one hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To set this\nrecord, a spectacular display of logistical and gastronomic feats were\norganised on the Pins Beach in Pineda de Mar, where everyone coming see and\ntaste the exquisite artichokes became the main players of the event. More than\n5,000 cheerleaders, curious spectators, skeptics and artichoke lovers witnessed\nand participated in the event, particularly the 50 volunteers from PURA BRASA,\nJosper and the XIP association of Pineda de Mar, La Xarxa d&#8217;Inicitives\nPindenques, who collaborated selflessly to make this a reality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event\u2019s\ntimetable was as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Location: Els\nPins, the beach of Pineda de Mar (400 metres from the Pineda de Mar station):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>11:30 &#8211; Lighting\nof the charcoal (60 metres long).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12:00 &#8211;\nPresentation for press and invitees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>12:30 &#8211; Placing\nthe artichokes on the charcoal grill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>13:30 &#8211; Taking\nthem off the grill. Artichokes prepared for serving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>15:00 &#8211;\nAcknowledgements and presentation of the check to the Food Bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>16:00 &#8211; End of\nthe event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guinness Record\nfor grilled artichokes in one hour<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Poster for the\nattempt to beat the Guinness World Record<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The organization\nset special affordable prices so that all families could enjoy a full day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Advanced purchase\nwas available in PURA BRASA Pineda de Mar and in PURA BRASA Arenas, as well as\non the actual day of the event. The restaurant PURA BRASA Pineda de Mar and\nPURA BRASA Arenas offered a special Guinness World Record menu from 10-18\nMarch, at a price of \u20ac30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event was a\ncharitable one, as it made a donation of \u20ac2,000 to the Fundaci\u00f3 Banc dels\nAliments (Food Bank).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What is the Food\nBank?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Barcelona\nFood Bank is managed by an independent, apolitical, non-denominational and\nnon-profit private charity whose main objective is to collect food surpluses\nand distribute them among local entities so that they reach the needy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What does the\nFood Bank do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The fight against\nwaste and hunger is close by: The food basically comes from overproduction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gratuity is of\nprimary importance: The food is received and distributed, cost free.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A guarantee of\nfair distribution: Food is distributed through approved charities, which,\nthrough their direct relationship with people in need, can ensure that the food\nreaches its final destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coordination and\nmanagement thanks to the participation of volunteers.
